What does National Dog Rescue Day have to do with Cold Brew? On the surface, it may seem disconnected. But at Bizzy, we’re as passionate about fueling difference makers in our local community as we are about obsessively crafting cold brew. To show our appreciation for the amazing work the dog rescues and their foster volunteers do in our community all year long, we’ve teamed up with Diogie and Minnesota Dog Treats to put together donation goodie boxes!
These boxes were packed full of Cold Brew, Hats from Diogie, Homemade treats from Minnesota Dog Treats, tennis balls, scrunchies, and stickers! We got to meet a bunch of incredible rescue employees and adoptable pups while dropping off our goodie box donations, including:

Bryer at The Bond Between
Bryer is a Border Collie Mixed Breed who is sweet, kind and love kids. He walks well on a leash and doesn’t mind other pups that walk by. He does like to play tug-a-war with his leash but he is very treat motivated and is really smart and catches on very quickly. He loves his toys and would do well in a home with a nice big yard where he can run around and let out some of his puppy energy. Bryer is very curious and doesn’t know his boundaries when it comes to cats. He will do well in a home with no cats but other pups he will love to play with. He will definitely make a great companion to his forever home. I know he made his way into our hearts and we know he will make a family very happy.

Ethan at Ruff Start Rescue
Ethan is a tiny pup with a big heart! This playful, affectionate little guy may be the smallest of his litter, but he makes up for it with personality and endless snuggles. He loves toys, surprise pounces on his siblings, and curling up close when the day winds down. Ethan would thrive with an active family ready to include him in all of life’s adventures, from neighborhood strolls to cozy nights on the couch. He's currently on hold while we review applications. Ethan made his way to us all the way from Texas through our Lone Star to North Star Rescue Relief Program!

Cleo at Pet Haven
Adoptable, 8-year-old, female. Cleo was surrendered due to needing ongoing medical diagnostics/care that her owners didn't have the resources to continue; she was incredibly loved! She was diagnosed with protein losing enteropathy and IBD, needs special food and medications. Cleo has been with Pet Haven for about a year and a half. She is the BEST girl, does well with everyone and everything, loves doing all the normal dog things like walks, playing with toys, a total snuggle bug and wants to be on you or near you.

Pablo at Pet Haven
Pablo Wiggles is an adoptable, 13-year-old, male. He was surrendered to a shelter after his owner passed away and family couldn't keep him. Pet Haven took him in so he could get out of the shelter (he was very unsettled there). He takes pain medication and thyroid medication. He’s blind in his remaining eye, which will be removed soon due to pain/malformation/infection. Pablo gets around INCREDIBLY well, jumps on the couch, goes up and down steps (pending height). He is the easiest, most endearing dog, loves to sleep under blankets, gets a butt wiggle going when scratched, likes to lay on your chest, knows to go outside to go potty, likes "playing with" a stuffed dog.

Ducky at Pet Haven
Ducky is 9-year-old male, Pet Haven alum. He was surrendered at a reservation clinic/surrender event; was underweight and malnourished, his kennel reeked of pee and no one could touch him. He is a total love bug with his people, loves to cuddle, boat rides, walks, does a hilarious food dance, and hoards toys.

Not only did we have a ton of fun playing with the dogs, but we even got to tour a few of the rescues and learn about their processes from intake, to fostering, to adoption! The Bond Between, Ruff Start Rescue, and Pet Haven all rely on donations to provide foster pup parents with all the supplies they need, from food, to crates and kennels, to toys, to leashes, and more! Anything the fosters need during their time with an animal is provided by the rescues. They also all provide veterinary care for foster pets!
We also brought goodie packages to Minnesota Pit Bull Rescue, Healing Hearts Rescue, and Midwest Animal Rescue. Thank you to all the Rescues and Fosters in Minnesota and beyond for getting BIZZY saving animals in our community and Happy National Dog Rescue Day!
